Our successful Adoptions

Zamboni
Adopted March 11, 2001

This little boy came to us as an Owner surrender. He is about 2 1/2 years old and had lost one of his hind legs at the age of 6 months. This did not slow him down. A bouncing full Boxer boy. "Z" went to a great home after a very short time in our rescue. His new moms report that he has adjusted well and is enjoying his little brother and new home.

Casey " Cecila " May
Adopted March,01

This 2 1/2 years old little girl came to us with pneumonia and kennel cough and spent sometime with us.  She has some very special people to thank for getting her to us.  Her new mom and dad report that she is enjoying the other animals in the house and loves to sleep with the cat although the cat is not always pleased with her.  They also tell us that given the chance she will steal a ham and pineapple pizza off the counter. So she now has an Italian middle name.

Skye
Adopted April 1, 2001

Skye was a joint effort between DSBR and GOBR with a lot of special people helping along the way.  She is a very special girl who's nightly episodes of  flatulence has endeared her to her Mom and Dad though they have had to to air out the bedroom in the middle of the night a few times.

         Tyson

This handsome young man is 3 1/2 years old.

He came to us very under weight at only 48 lbs. This picture is three weeks later and he now weighs 76 1/2 lbs. He is now full of energy and likes to snort to get your attention. A typical bouncing Boxer Boy we are sure his forever home will be full of fun times.

         Maggie

Maggie is all Boxer girl although her lineage in not all that great.

At 1 1/2 years old she is a sweatheat with a lot of spunk. She is also deaf, although her previous owner didn't realize it. She is quite small so if you want to be a boxer owner but don't have the room Maggie would be the perfect fit. She is scheduled to be altered next week.

        Ms. Wigglesworth

This sweet little girl is living with another rescuer who found her as a stray. Ms. Wigglesworth is approx. 1 year of age, she is a spayed female, fawn and white, up to date on her shots. She is very loving and likes to cuddle, favorite game is fetch. She needs a home with older children preferable no cats. Other dogs are ok as long as introduced properly. She has had little socialization as a youngster which makes her scared of new situation. She needs an obedience back ground based home to help her overcome her fears.

        Baxter

Baxter is a neutered male, he is 5 yrs old, tawny and white. He was surrendered due to his family developed allergies to him. He has blood work done due to the older age. He looks and acts like he is a two year old. Great with kids and cats, ok with other dogs as long as they are introduced correctly. Has had some basic obedience, he is housebroken and crate trained and loves to go for rides in the car.
